I know how tough this decision is- and I think the wait may make it harder?? We were in surgery really fast so I didn’t have to spend a lot of time worring up front. The advantage is you have time to prepare for the surgery and the recovery.
As hard as it is you need stay positive around your Maggie- she will take her ques from you- if you are upset and down she will be too.
Good luck and I will be looking for updates- Maggies have to stick together.

Hello, we’ll keep you in our thoughts and we wish you all a speedy and full recovery.
Maggie,
We will be thinking of you and sending good thoughts your way! You will be fine and be great of three legs.
Remember the first couple weeks are a roller coaster. Don’t let bad days get you down, there are plenty of good days to follow.
Good Luck!
Sending lots of golden licks your way!
