Recovery Anxiety

It has been about a month since Maggie had her amputation. I was very strict about keeping her on leash or with a collar. She healed perfectly without any drainage or problems. The first week the bruising got worse moving its way across her stomach to the opposite side of her body. By the second week, all bruising was gone. She finally went poop on the fifth day home. Now she does almost everything she used to. I don’t even notice her three-legged-ness anymore. Maggie Is Maggie. She has remained the same wonderful, loving, and playful dog that she always was.
